“We always endeavor to truly connect with our audience, to uplift them and take them on a meaningful, immersive musical voyage of discovery, ranging from a full, eastern orchestration right through to stripped-back, soul touching arrangements featuring captivating voice and guitar…”
It has been 28 years since Kiki and Carmelo first embarked on their spiritual and musical journey together. The duo’s creative collaboration first began in 1994, and has delivered no less than six albums, two of which were live recordings.
Their portfolio represents an ever evolving body of work, which effortlessly binds Kiki’s distinctive, instantly recognizable vocal with Carmelo’s beautiful, acoustic guitar elements and ethnic instrumentation, music far removed from the early days of their respective careers.
“I look back, rather lovingly, on my duets with Elton…and those dungarees!… but that said, I feel very blessed that throughout the years our audiences have continued to embrace the Kiki that I am creatively today, with Carmelo, compared to where I was in the distant 1970’s”
‘The Long Ride Home’ is the duo’s latest album, set for release soon in the United States. The album, well received after it’s recent release in Europe, has a distinct, country blues feel with an eclectic twist.
Recent collaborations with artists such as Robert Plant demonstrate the musical duos commitment to moving ever forward creatively in their efforts to both delight, and inspire their audience.
